Friday, October 27, 2023 - There's complexity and concentration -- greatness underneath that is unfortunately a bit sullied by a brettiness that overstays its welcome for Pontet (which in 2009 and 2010 was notable for their precision, and was among the best wine I've ever tasted).

10/27/2023 2:28:00 PM - The bottle I had a while back was decanted for 3 hours and had very little brett to it and what was there left after another hour or so. Maybe you had an off bottle?

10/27/2023 2:56:00 PM - Ahhhh! That probably explains it. Give it 3-4 hours of air next time to get rid of the brett. I'm not a fan of brett either and I do not believe it improves the score in anyway, in spite of others in the Bdx world thinking that it does. Cheers!
