Monday, June 15, 2015 - Winebid purchase in good condition. Good fill and cork
Color: Black center to ruby/clear rim. Pretty...
Nose: Olive/herbal notes dominate. Smoke, meat, cherries... Very interesting and old school.
Palate: Lively and balanced on the palate, Good richness and length. Medium/light body. Elegant. Tannins resolved but the wine is very much alive. Delicate flavors of cherries/berries, herbs, mint, earth.
What a pleasant surprise for a 30 year old Gallo cab! Way better than a lot of '85s I've had.

4/14/2016 1:03:00 PM - Wow. This was our families house wine back in the day. If I remember correctly we purchased cases of mags and years later still talked about this wine at wonderful family dinners. I'm glad you enjoyed this wine.
