Sunday, February 10, 2019 - A classic lighter bodied old world white Burgundy.
On nose: initially a hint of matchstick , which dissipated shortly followed by lime notes and faint vanilla.
On palate:lime and vanilla notes as well as clean bracing minerality , creme fraiche and subtle but judiciously used new oak....green peach and walnut flavours emerged as the wine warmed ....this is clearly a chardonnay made for Sauvignon Blanc lovers ....no hints of butter or caramel flavours ....also displays a fine green/ gold colour in glass....St.Aubins do not have a long drinking window , but this one may evolve well for another 5 years.
