Wednesday, May 18, 2016 - Hard to beat anything drunk now from 05, this had a classic nose of the vintage, intense fruit, mineral, floral notes, pine, tar. Abounds with freshness from the glass. Concentrated blackberry, cherry with some sandalwood and chocolate. Tannins buttrress the wine and add a tactile dimension which accentuates its profile beautifully, never overpowering. Impressive structure and balance. Drinking well now but can go go go for a decade or more.
