Sunday, December 12, 2021 - Slow ox for an hour and then decanted for an additional hour. Deep violet in the glass. Rose petals, cherry pie and toasted bread aromas, leading to flavors of cherry, red licorice, vanilla and baking spice. Medium, rich and subtle complexity, nicely balanced, polished and elegant. Moderately long finish. I was surprised how fresh and "clean" the wine tasted, with almost no hint of aging apparent. A long life ahead but so enjoyable now...
