Gorgeous on the nose with oak, liquorice and spices. On the palate , this is full bodied, powerful tannins and long aftertaste. It's still a bit hot on the palate and the alcohol is quite present. I would wait 3-4 years to drink it so things could settle down. In my humble opinion, the 2005 Reiver is far better. Anyway, this is still excellent!
