Thursday, December 21, 2006 - Decanted for 2 hours. This shiraz exhibited a dark purple color with the color getting a bit lighter on the tinges. On the nose, aromas of raspberries, blackberries, plum with hints of pepper and dark chocolate. On the palate, flavors of blackberries and sweet plums rushed to my mouth quickly followed by hints of toffee, coffee, and dark chocolate leading into a smooth, lush finish. Well integrated fruit with nice acidity and tannin structure. Another impressive 2005 Mitolo Shiraz. HS94
