Saturday, September 29, 2018 - Difficult wine to evaluate. Threw lots of sediment and had huge barnyard funk for the first 10 minutes. Then the nose got jammy and port-like. Then after another 45 minutes it settled back into blueberry and wet wood. Very ripe in the mouth with pruney black plums. Dark and brooding with flashes of acid peeking through the density. A bit overdone for me.
