Wednesday, February 15, 2023 - Opened by the table and decanted. Had with a entre of duck breast. Warm, sweet red and dark fruit on the nose, but not a particularly strong aroma. Initially, this was disappointing: it was lacking mid-palate and felt it was past it’s peak. Tannins we’re smooth and resolved. It did gain some body and complexity over the meal, but never stood up to the duck, which was disappointing.
