Friday, June 8, 2012 - Maturing ruby with clear edge. Very smoky char dominates at first but then relaxes to reveal gaminess and pungent red and black fruit. Medium weight, quite elegant. The texture is quite smooth until some pesky residual tannin intrudes on the end. Not great but so much better and far sounder than the only other bottle I had 5 years ago.
