Nevertheless, the nose delivers sour and black cherry, herbs, forest floor and mushroom with the palate tracking the nose. The VA mostly blows off but never goes away. The medium weight gives the wine just enough heft with the meal. The finish is a bit sour. Absolutely no sediment. I should have decanted this. It would have benefited from that extra care. 13.7% alc. With roasted pork chop under mushroom sauce. 04.04.24. Recommended with reservations only due to the VA; probably an off bottle.
