Sunday, June 4, 2023 - Incredibly light tawny, verging on a rose! Beautifully open, expressive and fragrant nose, of raisin, caramel, orange peel, and walnuts . In the mouth, quite spirit at first and very light, but with air the palate becomes more refined and ethereal. Not the powerhouse of a '63 that was expecting, but a wine that quietly convinces. Mashed to a roast pear, gorgonzola and walnut tart, this was an ideal match. I look forward to trying this a day or two after to see how the wine develops.
