Saturday, August 5, 2017 - The tannins are still raw oak, and I am skeptical that they will resolve before the lean fruit disappears. I like this chateau, so am disappointed by this poor showing in a great year.

8/6/2017 2:47:00 PM - That's interesting as I've found a smilar problem with mine. Having said that, this is still a young wine.

I can't helping noticing that this Chateau ha simpressed me most in rubbish years. Have a look at the notes (many of which are my mine) on the '93.

8/9/2017 6:21:00 AM - I know the Chateau for a while and I'm convinced that no bottle should be opened with less than 16 years for regular vintages, and 20 years for the great ones. If I had to build a raking of the wines that take longer to enter the drinking window, among all the wines I've tasted in life, this one would certainly be a Top 3. Good news is it usually pays off after the wait.
