Friday, November 24, 2017 - Dark burgundy color. Nose aromatic, bright cherries and some baking spices. Palate full-bodied, ripe fruits but well-balanced with great acidity, silky texture. Unmistakably Californian in its ripe fruits but has a lightness and balance to it, really quite pleasing. With time and extended aeration, acidity becomes more pronounced, develops more of a herbal/anise flavor, very interesting. Found serendipitously on a visit to the Arcadian tasting room, a hidden gem. Goes well with flavorful burritos and sopes, but could match pretty much anything food-wise. Goes down very easily. Highly recommended.
