Saturday, April 28, 2012 - A Ten Year Retrospective of Chateau Pontet Canet with Alfred Tesseron (Waldorf Astoria Hotel, Chicago): Opaque inky color. Blackberry, plum and dark fruit notes; vanilla and clay qualities as well. Full-bodied, medium tannins; flavors of black currants, plum and blueberries; vanilla and mineral tones. Well-balanced, with a long finish.
