Saturday, November 7, 2015 - Vertical tasting of Pontet Canet 2003-2012. Hardly any sign of evolution in terms of colour - still very dark. Lots of pure black fruit on the nose, showing more depth than the two previous vintages. A hint of cough drops. Some oak is still evident. On the palate very powerful, firm structure, but the tannins are round and ripe. The balance is impressive. Super long. Too young still, but approachable. 95-96+
