Monday, October 29, 2012 - Popped and slow ox'd for about an hour and a half. Dark crimson color. Really nice nose of baked strawberry and cherry pie with a bit of cedar and savory herbs. Red fruit driven flavors on the palate with roasted plum and black cherry notes, some oak flavors with a bit of coffee and black licorice on the back end. Medium acid, medium plus tannin, nice finish. This wine was really enjoyable and went really well with a pork and mushroom stew. Glad to have another bottle in the cellar.
