Saturday, November 13, 2021 - Mid+ ruby red to violet
Lifted aromas of lavender cream, pot pourri, black pepper, smoke and plenty of black fruits.
A clean entry with that lifted lavender fields in the warm sun and plenty of juicy, soft black raspberry and blueberry.
There are stemmy notes from its inclusion alongside a crisp acidity, yet the wine remains silky textured with a creaminess in the mid-palate. No noted wood. This is a classic Rhone-style from California. A persistent finish with chalk dust, fairly compact tannins and succulence. The back palate becomes animated with garrigue, Provencal herbs and cough syrup. Delicious!
