It offered a developed nose of dried fruit, blackberry, mocha, leather, tobacco, dried herbs, dried spices, and medicinal and oxidative notes. On the palate the medium-bodied, balanced wine showed dried fruit, leather and tobacco, paired with medium-level acidity, medium-plus well-integrated tannin and good length of the slightly bitter finish. The wine seemed to be at its peak; drink now and over the next two to three years.
