Tuesday, February 1, 2022 - 004553/12406. Root day, ~4cm fill, very transparent under light. Year of the Tiger special! Cork fell in without Durand, presumably the bottle was met with unexpected shake too. Musty, earthy but with penetrating sweetness. Soy sauce, black tea, some spice and stem in the background; classic DRC and Flagey flavors. Someone mentioned "pickled radish" on the surface (but the wine is for sure not faulty). Light and very enjoyable actually. In a weak vintage as this the terroir and wine-making really shine through. 92
