Tuesday, October 20, 2020 - medium red, brick rim - mature Brunello nose of dusty red cherry fruit, dried herbs (oregano), and some tobacco aromas (but way in the background) - same bright red cherry fruit in the mouth - I agree with previous notes that this wine is on the lighter side for a Riserva from 2010, but beautifully balanced and lovely to drink with good acidity and ripe tannins - long 15-20 second finish - this has the fruit and structure to last many more years, but whether more potential complexity will be worth sacrificing enjoyment of the elegance of the wine right now is a personal choice (best to have more bottles to appreciate both aspects!)
