Monday, February 4, 2013 - Woah, been loving this wine ever since it debuted around here with the '08 vintage, but I never had one like this. They are ordinarily brimming with power and torque but this one is relaxed and lacy - the textural sense of refinement is almost more like a red Burgundy than anything in the riesling universe. It has all of its usual brightness but washes over the palate like a wave instead of slicing through it like a light saber. Just as satisfying, but definitely different.
