Thursday, October 29, 2015 - 2005 Right Banks, with an interloper from 2000 (Auckland, New Zealand): Ruby hue. Lifted, smokey and musky, with a hint of leaf. Beautiful palate - suave, warm and sweet from the alcohol. This has a long and gorgeous finish. Very modern in style, with no floral aspects, but plenty of (expensive) leather notes, this wine convinces in a profound manner through its quite spectacular fruit.
