Sunday, March 12, 2017 - Initially the nose is all cassis and spices, then it opens out to show blackcurrants, anise, chocolate, chipotle smoke, eucalyptus and bay, mint,cigar box, and a certain earthy minerality. On the palate , ample acidity and tannin give a great chewy quality, which is perefect with food. A satisfying and well-crafted " cru bourgeois" , with 5 to 8 years life ahead. Give it 1-2 hours decant.
