Sunday, October 22, 2023 - Surprisingly fruity; blackberry nose,very pleasant to sniff. Un-syrah-like on the palate, with comments of New World cabernet and merlot. Morphed in and out of Rhonedom over the two hour session, alongside (and possibly upstaged by) fellow outlander Texier CDR-Brèzéme, and accompanying braised pork, wild mushroom rigatoni, sweetish fried chicken, and local pan-seared fluke with Brussels sprouts and squash; @ 5 Ocean Long Beach NY. In the end, a very tasty, fresh, and thought-provoking wine.
