Friday, April 24, 2015 - This deep-to-opaque red/garnet wine was tasted in single-blind fashion at a Right Bank Bordeaux tasting, with the bottle generously provided by D.S. Efffusive of dark chocolate, plum, pipe tobacco and black olive aromas, it follows with a full-bodied, fresh palate of similar flavors. The tannins are medium-weight and slightly dry, while the oak has now nicely integrated. The alcohol (listed as 14.2%) has likewise integrated and is a non-factor. Solid in the middle, it closes with impressive length. I suspect that this wine is entering its plateau and would anticipate that it will be enjoyable for several more years. Drink now-2022.
