Wednesday, July 4, 2018 - PNP into Zalto Burgundy glass ("Flower" day): Purplish ruby to the eyes.

Elegant nose of vegetal notes like green bell pepper, earthy, roasted herbs aromas coupled with darker juicy fruits like cherries and plums. Very good definition to the aromas overall.

Has the flavours to match the aromas on the palate too. Good amount of minerality and acidity that provided the grip. Tannins are silky and a little dusty towards the finish. Good focus on the finish.

Enjoyable. 92-93 points.

1-hour upon opening (“Flower” to “Leaf”): more sour cherry / salt-preserved plums flavours emerged. (Somehow this reminds me of similar flavours found in the Pierre Overnoy Chardonnays tasted before...) Fine-boned acidity and minerality with tannins even better integrated. 93 points.

12-hours upon opening (“Leaf” to “Flower”): continued to impress with bright black cherry and cassis fruits on nose followed through nicely on palate. From first instance till now, this wine has this thirst-quenching ability that I would not normally associate with Cabernet Francs that is most impressive. Retain at 93 points.
