Sunday, February 7, 2016 - Shiraz/Tempranillo blend from the Barossa. Impenetrable deep purple in colour. Plenty of gamey blackberry and chocolate notes on the nose. Very smooth over the tongue, great mouthfeel, wonderful balance. Very rich, savoury and deep fruited with some sweetness on the back palate. Long finish of soft, finely-grained tannins. A nice surprise!
