A goodly amount of stink that made me wonder whether this bottle was irretrievably flawed, but no, this was held in check at a low level for the several hours it was open. As described last time, in the lighter, more elegant vein of Chateauneuf with real secondary perfume that included sous bois and faded red fruit. Gentle but lingering finish with tannin that has all but disappeared. Very nice, approaching at least the autumn of its years.
