Wednesday, March 9, 2011 - The dregs of a bottle drained by my wife. Ruby/brown and a bit cloudy. Perhaps because this pour contained sediment, it was weightier and had more stuffing than I recall. It smelled like real Chateauneuf with some funk, herbs, lavender, and licorice along with barky, medicinal cherry fruit. A little hot and a touch of VA makes the finish prickly rather than smooth. Last of my bottles and not a bad time or bad way to close them out.
