Tuesday, March 2, 2010 - Pop and pour. Deep ruby color. Cassis, cherries, vanilla, blackberries, licorice, and a bit of green herbs on the nose. Medium to full body with ripe, integrated tannins and very good acidity. A bit more subtle on the palate then the nose led me to believe, but still very nice fruit with a bit of spicy oak. Good length on the finish with the spicy oak outlasting the fruit. This is in prime drinking window and should stay there for a couple years.
