Saturday, June 4, 2016 - Patience has been a virtue with this wine! Finally, coming into its drinking window. Really lovely aromatics at this point- red cherries, Chinese five-spice, sanlewood, complex and beguiling nose. Palate is still tight, acids firm, but enjoyable cherry fruit, some earth, umami are evident. Still needs time or more than 2 hours of air. A really lovely wine with frilled lamb.
