Saturday, January 21, 2012 - Eye: deep purple, violet color. Nose: blackberries, cassis, vanilla, smoke. Palate: strong tannins, a bit acidic, fruit somewhat muted, long finish but lacks the harmony I recalled last tasting.
After 1 hour the wine softened and the fruit emerged as dark cherries and cassis.
