Saturday, March 11, 2017 - This beautiful Pinot provides complexity and power in a graceful package that reminds me why I fell in love with Rhys in the first place. Light garnet in color, light in body, beguiling nose of black cherry, spice, and flowers. Ethereal tastes of cranberry, pomegranate, rosemary, and herbs, with a finish that goes on and on. There is some youthful tartness here, but the depth and intensity promises great things for the future. 12.7% alcohol. The best 2014 CA Pinot I've tasted so far, this wine has a long life ahead of it, but it is surprisingly good now.
