Wednesday, January 7, 2015 - After several days of uninspiring bottles, this one was very welcome. Colour still quite primary. Elegant nose dominated by cherry with touches of metal and grilled meat. Palate medium bodied, linear in shape and gently firm and grippy on the finish with some lovely fresh fruit, minerals, more of the aromas from the nose and a quite silky texture. At first the acidity seemed very prominent but after a mouthful guinea fowl it slipped into balance. A very good wine with quasi-Burgundian elegance.
