Sunday, April 21, 2024 - Poured from a 375ml bottle and decanted for 90 minutes. Consumed over the subsequent two hours. Aeration was rewarded on the nose as it opened up into a lovely lady. Wonderful! The finish was a disappointment as it was tight and lean with grainy tannin. The nose did not match the finish. Very typical of the 2005 vintage. What this tells me is that 2005 is the longest lived vintage of the ‘00 decade.
