Sunday, October 23, 2016 - 3.5 Medium intensity ruby. Dense aromatics of strawberry preserves, sweet cinnamon, and cherry liqueur evidence the warmth of this site during a hot vintage. Lovely complexity on the nose gives way to a more disjointed mid-palate and finish--the alcohol can't be contained. May come together better with time, but 2014 makes for a challenging vintage on uber-warm sites like Shea. Delightful.
