1991 Ridge Zinfandel Lytton Estate

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

Tuesday, September 2, 2014 - Somewhat murky oxblood color. Smoky dusty nose. Initial taste is quite subdued. Then there is a combination of blackberry and lemon (?) flavor. Tannins are, pretty much, done for making this a pretty easy drinker. The one minus I would have for this wine is that, while I do not detect “heat,” I can definitely taste alcohol way in the back of the palate.
