Wednesday, March 24, 2010 - Old World Grab Bag (Dino Restaurant, Washington, DC): Meat, tobacco and pencil on the nose, subdued fruit, green pepper and dried cranberries in the mouth, medium body, firm tannins. Young and compact, this is coiled for something interesting, but it's not there yet. Tasted blind, it was clearly Bordeaux, and did in fact continue to open up once unveiled. Too bad I had to leave after only one more taste.
