Thursday, June 26, 2014 - Complex, elegant, and pure are the best descriptors for this wine. One word that does not really fit is Spätlese. The 2005 Brücke drinks as a fine Auslese. The aromas and flavors run to the tropical, with the acidity sufficient for balance, with none to spare for those who like something more electric. This is what the 2005 vintage gives us for now, purity, richness and elegance. There certainly is no lack of material here, so there is no reason to worry about additional cellar time. No issue with drinking it now though.
