Friday, June 12, 2009 - Tasted in double-blind fashion with our tasting group. Opaque black, this wine shows a moderately intense nose of assorted black fruits and minerals. Full-bodied on the palate, with medium acidity and mouth-puckering tannins. The flavors are primary and follow the nose. Medium, coarse finish. Not my favorite 2005, but time may make this homely lady a starlet some day. Drink 1/15-12/25.
