Tuesday, May 3, 2016 - Careful analysis led to the conclusion that, having survived a rainy Tuesday, I deserved to open this wine! Characterful, vibrant, and evolving in the glass. Nose has everything including developing leather, smoky notes, and sweet candied fruit. Palate has black fruit, spice, vanilla, tobacco leaf, toffee, salted caramel, bright acidity, dry earth, and what are still chewy tannins. There is lots of life still in this wine. With 3 bottles left, I can't wait to see how this wine evolves!
