Saturday, January 10, 2009 - The Wine Club San Francisco 2005 Bordeaux (San Francisco): Tasted at the Wine Club. Opened 4+ hours but not decanted. Quick notes: There were 3 wines that stood out for me in this tasting, and this was the one that was the most classically made. A pretty and engaging nose of dark fruit with a hint of cold hard plastic. On the palate: dark bramble fruit with a somewhat watery middle with a slightly bitter and tannic finish. This has all the makings for a great wine in a couple of years. I think this will be Very Good.
