Friday, May 10, 2013 - First Growths Masterclass, Sydney. Double-decanted 90 minutes prior to tasting. Deep, clear red-ruby in colour. Charming nose of creme de cassis and graphite. Midweight palate of black fruit, char and some early secondary characteristics of leather/tobacco. A little one dimensional, and probably in a dumb period. Long finish with lovely fine tannins. I doubt this is showing at its best.
