Thursday, June 11, 2009 - Showing a light golden yellow color in the glass the scents from this wine seem to jump from the glass filling the room. The nose is full of smoked and toasted oak, Bartlett pears, vanilla bean, honey, pineapple, and other tropical fruit notes linger in the glass. In the mouth this medium-full bodied wine gives up flavors of pears, pineapple, cantaloupe, followed by brisk acidity and then a lingering flavor of roasted nuts and toasty oak. This is a "Wow" wine...with phenomenal complexities that I can not wait to track over two days.
