Saturday, September 29, 2012 - Initially this bottle was very primary with loads of cassis. I left it in the bottle to slow-ox for 6 hours. It had fleshed out and gained much more complexity that kept on developing over the evening.
Deep ruby/red color with some purple at the rim. Full aromas of cassis, dark cherry some boxwood and floral hints (violet/lavender) and hints of wet earth. Following trough full bodied with chewy smooth tannins, dark fruit and balanced fresh acidity. The finish is long, slightly drying and a hint of bitter.
This wine is still very young, but attractive in its youth. Its improved complexity made me to give it one notch up. I expect that it will keep on improving for many years to come. Drink now - 2025
