Sunday, October 7, 2007 - Initially, I thought this wine was quite good, even though it had moderate to heavy tannins. We were thinking about purchasing a few bottles of this and laying them down for a few years. We changed our minds by the end of the night. We decant most of our wines, especially if they have a tannin bite to them. By after a few hours of dechanting (2 maybe 3 hours), this wine completely broke down to the point of being practically undrinkable. This was first time I had ever experienced this (w/o an overnight stay in the fridge or counter). It seems that if you crack one of these open, you better plan on drinking it quick! I'll pass on buying those extra bottles. - BE
