Friday, May 19, 2017 - Last night in Wroclaw, and the hotel restaurant's stash of Schloss Gobelsburg gets a little bit smaller. This is an interesting blend of richness and precision. It has bright citrus fruit, but also a deep, bass line of richer fruit, as well as overall weight. It's a bit like a 2006 Austrian Riesling, but with better acidity. Lively yet weighty on the palate, it threads the needle of ripe vintage and bright vintage. Delicious.
