Sunday, September 10, 2017 - It's not possible that Vincent Dauvissat was going to wiff on the slow pitch that is the 2014 vintage in Chablis, is he? That's a resounding no. I understand this bottle was opened the night before - decanted - then put back in the bottle for tonight. Less citrusy acidity than what I expected but no shortage of structure or verve. A comment was made of it being richer than expected, which I agree with but things really firmed up in the glass. Great purity and tactile palate. Time to go to sleep now and see you in a decade.
