Saturday, January 5, 2013 - An Evening of Californian Syrah (Keith's House): Lots of dark fruit, mocha and scorched earth. Characterized primarily with juicy, dark fruit with a hefty dose of mocha. Thick and viscous, I wasn't enthused by the lack of elegance. Love their new style of wines, but some of the older bottlings are outside my comfort zone.
